Here's what happens when you let an award-winning visionary taskmistress of a wedding planner throw your baby shower: It is absolutely phenomenal!!!
I have blogged about Kelly of Eventology Weddings before, as we have worked many a wedding together and it's always a pleasure. I'm not sure if I've let on that we're old friends from Texas A&M, or that I introduced her to her husband... but we go way back. Our roads diverged and then brought us together again when we both ended up settling in the same part of the world and becoming wedding industry entrepreneurs.
We've made some great friends and one of them is Lisa, who is pregnant with her second child, Eden (you've seen handsome little Gideon before). We're all thrilled to be welcoming Eden into the world, so Kelly and Jennifer (another of Lisa's good friends) decided it was time to throw her a good old baby girl shower!
It was a chocolate brown and strawberry pink kind of day, from the invitations right down to the table linens and fancy chairs. Kelly and Jennifer left no detail unattended-- florals, lanterns, a custom guestbook, a framed "E" for Eden, personalized place cards at each seat, a cake so precious you hardly wanted to cut into it... and the gorgeous spread of food... and, drum roll please... the cookie-buffet! Each guest was invited to pack a cute little brown bag full of cookies to take home as favors. There was even an assortment of chocolate, strawberry, and regular milk to accompany the adorable cookies.
These ladies really bent over backward, and Lisa was completely in awe of the setup when she arrived (the theme and decor had been kept a secret from her!). It literally brought tears to her eyes to see all the fuss that had been made in honor of Eden and Mommy.
Without further ado, here are all the sugar-and-spicy details!
