Ann & Chad's Engagement Portraits

Ann & Chad are getting married this April, so it was about time we finally met one another and got these Engagement Portraits going! We met out at Eleanor Tinsley Park along the bayou, taking advantage of the beautiful sunshiney evening. Ann had on a glorious pair of red suede pumps, but she kept it casual with her jeans and top. Chad played it pretty cool with an untucked shirt and tie, holding out on me with his fedora until the end of the session.

TOTALLY cute. Ann's bridals are hot, I can't even wait to share those with you all : ) We took them in the upscale bar where Chad works.

Laura Beth's Bridal Portraits

Laura Beth finally got married, so now I can blog her bridals! We went to the Parador and (like her engagement portraits) she wanted to include my fabulous "Maude" Haro beach cruiser! Old Maude loves getting out and seeing the world ; )

Laura Beth was absolutely sassy and stunning in her gown, and I loved her deco jewelry and birdcage veil. The happy yellow shoes were just icing on the cake, and how cool that they coordinated so well with Parador's floor? The last picture is her bracelet-- fashioned from her great grandmother's brooch and some ribbon, adding a sentimental vintage touch to her elegant look.

Fun with Jayme

Well, my friend Jayme needed some publicity-type shots for various reasons. While fashion/this stuff is not really my main water source (so to speak), it is indeed a fine cup of tea... and Jayme is certainly great company. I knew this would be fun and frisky no matter what, so why not? Who are we if we refuse to grow and try new things? BORING! That's who.

We had a ball! We started out in the old warehousey part of Downtown by Last Concert Cafe (and found a lovely washed-up-GEAUX-SAINTS minivan)... and made our way over to Winter Street Studios in the Heights to see if we could find a train. We ended up back at Jayme's for our final shots (love love love her turquoise wall and cute settee!) and that was that.

While we're talking about Jayme, I'd like to throw this out there: She's a founding (and might I mention super-hard-working) member of Charity Chicks Houston... I'm a member too, and would like to encourage anyone with a little extra time on their hands and room in their heart to check out the CCH website. It's a fantastic organization! You can find ways to use your talents-- whatever they are-- to help organizations in our area who are in need.

That first sort of blurry pic is of her adorable alleged Chihuahua, Denali. Lovingly referred to as "luscious Denali" by me... I mean, that's one cute hunk-o-dog!

Courtney & David's Engagement Portraits

Courtney and David are engaged and getting married this summer! They were a referral from a wonderful family friend, Phyllis... I'm so glad to be working with them : )

For their engagement portraits we met under the bridge on Sabine Street near Allen Parkway, just before sunset, on an absolutely gorgeous day. It was one of those days when everyone was itching to get out and stretch their legs after a couple of weeks of dreary-rainy-cold-muck-- we couldn't have ordered up a nicer evening. Good thing, too, since I was stuck in traffic for-ev-er because some kind of fuel truck overturned on a feeder road, and ran a little late.

After we were done underneath the bridge, we came on up to the top for the classic Houston-skyline shots!
