By popular demand... another beginner dSLR class on Saturday 1/15!

If you saw this post about this past weekend's dSLR course and wanted to come but couldn't... I'm teaching again this Saturday!

It's a "bring your camera and all your gear and get to know it intimately" kind of afternoon.  You should leave with a better understanding of terms, mechanism, function... and just overall have a more comfy relationship with your camera : )  The office will hold about 7 people comfortably, so we've got spots available for 4 more attendees.  Please contact me via the website's contact form if you'd like to attend.

The course costs $75, and will be held at my office (Montrose near Richmond) on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

I look forward to hearing from you!  We had a wonderful class this past Sunday and it'll be really cool to see how my little chickadees are spreading their photography wings.

Boudoir for Valentine's Day? It's not too late to be a Sexy Sweetheart!

Want to surprise your guy with gorgeous pinup pics this Valentine's Day?  Sign up for our Sexy Sweethearts event!  There's even a quickie option.

Page-turner sessions can be scheduled on dates before the event as well.  Once your images are posted to your online gallery, you'll have a few days to decide on your top twenty (page turners) or your number one peep shows).  Completed orders will be available for pickup at the studio on Friday 2/11 from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday 2/12 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot at our event (page turner/$200, peep show/$50) and will be applied to your total balance.  Full payment is due at or before your session.

Boudoir is SO MUCH FUN!  Ladies are often a little shy at first, but without fail the sass comes out and we usually laugh our way through the session.  Imagine how surprised and flattered he'll be to know you did this especially for him!  Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns at the e-mail address listed on the promotional piece above.

dSLR Beginners... 4-hour Class on Sunday 1/9

If you own a digital SLR camera and would like to get to know it better, I'm holding class Sunday, January 9 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. (at my Montrose/Richmond area office).

This is a very basic get-to-know-your-camera class, you'll learn what makes that camera tick and how to take better basic photos!  I'll talk a little about the following topics:

  • How the camera "sees" light
  • Finding the light when you shoot
  • Basic composition of a photograph
  • What aperture is and how it affects the look of your images
  • The importance of choosing the right shutter speed
  • What White Balance is and why it's your BFF when set correctly
  • What the "best" lenses are for what you'd like to shoot
  • When to use your flash, and how to get great images without it

The cost of the class is $75, and it's limited to six attendees.   If you're interested and available, please fill out the contact form on my website and I'll get back with you as soon as possible : )

If you do attend, you'll need to bring:

  • Your camera and lenses... and any other gear you'd like to talk about
  • Your owner's manual
  • 5-10 of your favorite/best shots, printed
  • 5-10 shots that you dislike, and would like to learn how to make better
I look forward to hearing from you, and helping you understand your fantastic camera a little more!

Please remember, this is a basic class.  If you have a good understanding of most of the topics in the outline, you might be bored.  I always offer one-on-one help, so don't hesitate to contact me if you're interested in something more along those lines.
