Tracey Time!

I photographed the wedding of Tracey's parents a couple of years ago, so I was happy to hear from them when it was time for a baby and family session!

We met out at Challenger 7 Memorial Park for a morning shoot, and sweet little Tracey was in a fantastic mood. There was lots of laughing, and she really liked my just-her-size garden chair-- I love the way you can see her adorable baby feet dangling from it. She's at that cute age where those first two teeth begin to pop through on the bottom-- priceless laughing pics!

I can't wait to finish editing her session : )

Tracey & Ed's Wedding

You may remember Tracey and Ed from their bright popping colorful engagement portraits!

Their wedding took place on a warm summer evening on the Terrace at Moody Gardens. It was absolutely beautiful, with the ethereal music of a harp and nothing but the sky above them as they took one another's hands in marriage. The reception was full of dear friends, family, and fun! The couple had a table full of wedding portraits of family and friends who had been married for over thirty years (some of them incredible heirloom portraits), and gave guests seashell-handled bottle openers as favors. At the children's table, there were plenty of shimmering copper cupcakes to go around.

Tracey's florals were absolutely stunning-- not over the top tropical, but bright pinks and peaches (and even artichokes in the centerpeices!) were great with her cream/chocolate browns... and of course her gorgeous red hair and clear blue eyes. Also of note-- the cute cake-toppers! Ed's a golfer, folks ; )

Lucky for us, one of Ed's aunts left her pretty orange parasol at the ceremony, so we were able to grab it and use it for some together-pics of Tracey and Ed. The grand staircase reminded me so much of a cruise ship, with the bright evening sun shining in the windows behind it.

Tracey & Ed's Engagement Portraits

Tracey and Ed met me one Friday morning (the same day they'd planned to go grab their marriage license! WHEEE!) in Galveston for some couples portraits to display at their upcoming wedding. Having met Tracey, I knew we'd have some gorgeous flowing red hair against the great colors in Historic Galveston... but I'd never noticed what beautiful eyes she has. I hadn't met Ed, but I'd heard he's a jokester who never smiles in pictures, and that I had my work cut out for me.

Well... obviously Tracey brings out the best in her man. We have handsome and happy Ed, insanely gorgeous Tracey, and some cute little lovey dovey glances. I shot their wedding but it isn't quite ready for display yet-- I can tell you that Tracey looked absolutely classic and Ed made one great-looking groom... more to come on that!
