Mia, Ava, and Andrew: Triplets turning one

Mia, Ava, and Andrew turned one recently, and I traveled to their home in Cypress for a special birthday session!

Initially, no one was really in the mood. Mom, Dad, and Grandma worked hard to get these little monkeys to buck up and get happy! We had dad running circles around the yard, Grandma chirping a little toy bird, and everyone making noises and being silly. Multiples can certainly be a challenge, but teamwork pays off.

Nature even lent a hand, as the kids were totally in awe of a flock of birds flying overhead.

Surprisingly enough, we were able to get everyone looking one direction and not crying for a full family session!

After a quick snack, the babies had a wardrobe change into their birthday outfits-- three peas in a pod was the theme-- the ladies had lovely green tutus and Andrew's matching shirt was paired with jeans.

Absolutely ADORABLE Abby : )

I met Abby's mom Allyson at the recent wedding of our mutual friend Michelle. We were seated at the same table, and she had complimented me on Michelle's bridal portraits... at some point during dinner, the sweetest little brown-eyed baby girl appeared on her lap (Abby had been sleeping in her carrier on the floor)! We talked more, enjoyed the wedding, and a few weeks later I heard from Mom... we scheduled a shoot at their home in Humble.

The rest is absolutely adorable history!

Abby's first birthday is coming up soon, so Allyson wanted to have a custom birthday invitation made with one of the images from our shoot. She dressed Abby in her birthday outfit-- an ensemble of onesie, tutu, and bloomers all coordinating and embroidered-- for some precious shots in the house and the backyard. I don't envy her, having to choose from all the little faces and expressions Abby showed us that day. It won't be easy, but whatever shot is chosen is sure to please everyone who opens their mail to see Abby's face!

It's Tyler!!!

Tyler, an Austinite, joined me for his one-year session while his mom and dad were in town to celebrate his b-day with a party at Grandma & Grandpa's house. He made the cutest little face at me when he arrived, and I knew we were going to have a great session!

With some of the best cheeks this side o' the Mississippi, he did not disappoint... just look at him! Such a little angel.

His favorite thing on earth was ripping his diaper off and running away from Mommy, resulting in the mischievous little grins you'll see. He also enjoyed snuggling her, which was just sweet as pie to watch. He is definitely a lover!

I also managed to snap a few of Mom and Dad, who were looking pretty good themselves! Mom is Amy of Crunchy Bunz, a great resource for natural parenting products like cloth diapers, nursing accessories, and more. There's even some mysterious product called a "Baby Hawk" that I'm intrigued by! She had on the cutest beaded necklace for our session, and I learned that it's "nursing beads", designed specifically for baby to play with while nursing- to keep hands out of Mommy's gorgeous red hair! Unlike most other necklaces babies try and grab, this one is made with safety in mind. Visit her site for more!

If you find anything you like, use the discount code "CARD" or 10% off!

Enjoy Tyler!

Little Lady Larkin

Larkin and her mommy met me on a beautiful afternoon at Mercer Arboretum, where the little one was fresh from a nap and feeling fine! Larkin was commemorating her first birthday with some in-the-park portraits.

Happy birthday, sweet little cherub-faced lady!

LIttle Man Reese

To mark the one-year milestone, Reese's mom and dad met me out at Challenger Park. Reese was cute as can be in his shirt that matched his eyes, sitting in my little chair like such a big boy and giving us lots of precious smiles and giggles.

Happy Birthday Reese! It seems like just yesterday I met him as a brand new baby.
